Publish

Publish turns your notes into articles you can share — with classmates, your audience, or anyone with the link. It's a way to consolidate what you've learned and put it to use.

What you can publish

  • Study notes — condense a chapter or lecture into a clean summary.
  • Worked examples — step-by-step solutions other people can follow.
  • Essays and reflections — longer-form writing on a topic.
  • How-tos — practical guides built from your own learning process.

The editing workflow

  1. Open the Published page and click New.
  2. The editor supports Markdown — headings, bold/italic, lists, code blocks, math (via LaTeX), and inline images.
  3. Add tags to make the article discoverable (e.g. biology, calculus, exam-prep).
  4. Preview your work before publishing.
  5. Save as draft (private) or publish (visible to your chosen audience).

Audience options

When you publish, you can choose who sees the article:

  • Private — only you can see it. Useful as a personal knowledge base or while drafting.
  • Unlisted — anyone with the link can read it, but it doesn't appear in public listings. Good for sharing with a specific classmate or small group.
  • Public — appears in the public published feed and is discoverable by other SeekPrep users.

You can change the audience later or unpublish at any time.

Editing published articles

  • Open the article from the Published page.
  • Click Edit to return to the editor.
  • Save updates — the URL stays the same so existing links keep working.
  • Use Delete to remove permanently (cannot be undone).

Tips

  • Link to source material. If your article references a textbook chapter in your Knowledge Base, mention it so readers can find the original.
  • Reuse tutor output. A great tutor explanation in chat can become the seed of an article — copy it into the editor, then refine and structure it.
  • Tag generously. Tags are how people discover your work — use specific ones (organic-chemistry, ap-calculus) over generic ones (study).
